Since thisyear, Jingzhou’s transportationhas been developed rapidly while the heat of “building large transportation” has increased day by day. By the endof May, RMB 4.02 billion investment on transportation construction had beencompleted.

As to thekey transportation projects, the construction of “four highways and three bridges” has been under tight construction.Among them, Honghu-Jianli Highway has been fully back at work and completed an investmentof RMB 540 million since re-construction, reaching the investment completion ofRMB 5.58 billion in total and accounting for 66% of the whole; Guangyindang-YangjiachangSection of Shashi-Gong’an Highway has completed an investment of RMB 330million, reaching the investment completion of RMB 3.37 million and accountingfor 88% of the whole; Shishou Yangtze River Bridge has completed the investmentof RMB 440 million, reaching the investment completion of RMB 5.85 billion intotal and accounting for 78% of the whole; Honghu Jiayu Yangzte River Bridgehas completed the investment of RMB 220 million, reaching the investment completionof RMB 1.84 billion in total and accounting for 59% of the whole; and HonghuChibi Yangzte River Bridge has completed the investment of RMB 230 million,reaching the investment completion of RMB 440 billion in total and accountingfor 14% of the whole. Yangjiachang-Mengjiaxi Section and the East Extension ofJianli-Jiangling Highway will started to be built this year and RMB 380 millionand RMB 350 million investment will be completed respectively.

The construction of interconnectedgeneral road network has been developed with great smoothness. In the firstfive months of this year, Jingzhou completed the investment on general roadnetwork of RMB 810 million and finished the construction of 41.42-kmfirst-class highway and 32.32-km second-class highway. Meanwhile, it also setup new rural road and expand rural road of 3,000 km, travelling road with alength of 500 km, realizing important scenic spots connecting with second-classor above highway, and port congestion highway and important port connectingroad of 200 km to achieve the effective connection of highway-water-air.
